Efficient separation and positive trapping of grease and oil. Ecologically beneficial. Self-sustaining microbe biomass treats all the grease and oil. Normal maintenance only once every 4 or 6 months. No smells from the drainage system. Simple installation. Low running costs. The PPD Biomass Greasetrap is primarily an efficient grease and oil separator. But in addition it provides a perfect environment for the special grease-eating microbes to create a sustainable grease-eating biomass. This biomass consumes the collected grease, oil and sediment for long periods of time without any maintenance.
There is a large range of models available for installation above ground (inside) or the normal underground installation. The standard above-ground models use an automatic liquid dosing pump to inject liquid Bugfluid into the grease trap every night after the kitchens have closed. An economy version is available using the bugsock system where a Bugsock hangs from a lanyard inside the grease trap and is replaced only once every 4 months.
