Below is an extraction from the latest 2015 SuDS Manual, Chapter 21 – Attenuation Storage Tanks, section 21.12.6
“All storage tanks should be watertight in accordance with the relevant standards. Geocellular & similar structures using geomembranes to hold water should be sealed in accordance with waterproofing standards (ie WELDED JOINTS RATHER THAN ADHESIVE TAPE*) & the integrity of the seal checked on site through the use of non -destructive testing, to ensure it is leak-proof”

BBA & EUROPEAN STANDARDS
Do not be fooled by companies who charge you more by offering products that carry the BBA / European Standard “stamp of approval”….

“It is often erroneously believed that BBA certification of products is required to comply with Building Regulations or to gain building approval. This is not the case (DECC, 2012)”

“There are currently no British or European standards for geocellular structures or units”
